The Best Inflatable Boats Story...Mine!

What's your best inflatable boats story? This is mine...

I had arranged a business meeting during the week on the southern shore of Long Island. I was wearing business casual, but nice clothes. Pressed oxford, nice shoes, maybe even some gel in the hair.

What I did NOT KNOW was that the house that I was having the meeting in sat directly atop a boating inlet. And I certainly wasn't let in on the fact that when the meeting was over, I was going to be taken out on one of these best inflatable boats to see for myself just how real the experience is.

Let me say this, my jaw is still hanging open!

While it will always be known as an inflatable, there is nothing inflated about the feeling of literally flying over the small waves. You instantly forget the fact that an air pump was used as you sip and dart around the harbor or over the lake or across the lake.

When I worked on Madison Avenue as a copywriter, the clients would force us to eat their new soups, or drive in their new cars, or sit in the cockpits of their new luxury planes. And they did that because of the "goosebump moment." The goosebump moment is the reality that happens when you experience a product AND LIVE IT.

While you can get a sense of what the sun felt like as the salt water sprayed up and into my face (and onto mu pressed oxford) or the smells of the salt water as we darted in and out of boating lanes, you simply won't get the "goosebump" factor that you need until you get into one of these best inflatable boats the same way that I just did!

So after the great meeting and the boat ride that I never saw coming, yet brought with me on the Long Island Railroad long after it was over, I walked away from my first experience in one of these best inflatable boats with only one thought in my mind...
